So there's this guy. I don't really like him, but I always thought he liked me. Im sick of only saying the nice things and getting obvious answers on my questions. So I want to know honestly. This guy teases me jokingly, trys to impress me all the time, could spot me in a crowded room- almost stalkingly, has little routines of saying hello to me, always talks to me, walks with me, and flirts endlessly with me. He takes routes in school that are "coincedently" right past my classes and locker sometimes, and says hello most of the time. He also chats with me alot on msn and flirts. I told him I didnt like a sweater of his- he hasnt worn it for more than 3 weeks.
Now the negitives: Most of his close friends like me and are okay with me, but two of his more distant friends who think they're good freinds with him absolutely detest me! And, a rumour, which I really dont believe, has been going around that he likes this other girl- and he thinks I like him, so he's cocky about it I think.

You seem to pay as much attention to him as he does to you. You know where he walks throughout the day and what he wears. You care about whom he likes or doesn't. That's a lot of focused attention on someone you don't really like. You clearly do like him, and if he's figured out your interest in him as you've figured out his interest in you, why does that make him the cocky one?
You may be reading way too much in to everything, but without being there, I can't say for sure. I'm also not sure what you want as an answer to your question. Yes, if you are reading things correctly he probably likes you, but a he may also like another girl as well. Until one of you pursues something further, the liking doesn't matter much one way or the other. It's just a playful, and hopefully enjoyable, game.

Ok, honestly, by everything you just said, yall are like junior high, high school age right? So what does it matter? He likes you somewhat obviously, his friends hate you which means he might like you a lot, but he must think you are decent and that he will save you for later in life. Else he would have been pushing much harder. After high school, everyone goes their separate ways. In school you all try to fit in with what everyone is doing and lose each others respect and your own self respect. By the second year of college, all the boys are crying because there are no nice old fashioned girls to marry. Work on that...crushes, bf and gf's come and go..Be true to you and it will all work out. This is just a tiny little pinch of your life. Focus on your future and the future of this country, coz it is likely your parents won't be around to help you run things, health care being what it is, most of us will go ahead and die rather than see doctors in a few years.

That's kinda tough. But if you don't like him then why worry about him because even if does like you ,you don't really like him and you can't make yourself like him unless it's fake. He's kinda a stalker if you ask me, but I think he likes you but maybe he's showing you in the wrong way. If you don't wanna get involved with him in that way tell him. And for the rumor that's going around you don't know if it's true or not but if he really like you he will tell you and he won't mess around with any other girl.

he probably began feeling like an idiot and made up the rumor that he liked someone else
but if hes a jerk and thinks you like him then he'll act cocky
you just gotta shut him down if you dont like him like that
either do it alone with him
or if u really wanna hurt him do it in front of his friends

i would say he really likes you but if you dont want to ruin ur friendship by dating him then if he asks just tell him you just want to be friends hope this helps!!
