when some one tries to call my house phone, they get a busy signal..and no one is on the phone at the time. and i cant even get a call out to even call the cable company. is there a way to fix it myself?? when i try to call someone, i get a busy signal even before i dial the number. thrn there will be no sound what so ever...can u help? email me any questions thx

It sounds like you are using digital phone???? If so, send an email to the cable company . They can come out and check the modem. On the other hand, since you have Internet, you may have a problem with someone jacking the line outside. We had that problem with a neighbor of ours.

You've got moisture or water in the connection.
Disconnect the line that plug into the phone. Check to see if it's corroded. If it is, then that's the problem. If you can exchange the line and put a new one, try it. If not, try blowdrying it and clean it the best you can.
