Unfortunately, love isn't enough to keep a relationship going. You also need trust, understanding, and faithfulness - all of which he has destroyed now. You can try to move past it, forgive him and stick it out but ask yourself this.... Is he truly worth it? Can you be 100% sure he'd never do it again? Are you worth more than someone who would hurt you like this? So many people stay in relationships just because they love the person and they don't realize how bad the person is for them until they've been completely destroyed down the road - guilty party here myself! I know this hurts, it's a horrible thing to go through, but ultimately you have to love yourself enough to know that you are worth so much more. Love yourself enough to be strong enough to walk away. I'm so sorry, some men can be such pigs!!!
Edited to add to that YES IT IS CHEATING! You don't physically have to be with someone to be cheating. Anything straying outside of the home by heart, whether emotional or physical is cheating. Period! He has been emotionally cheating on her and do NOT call her a moron, he's the moron not her! A "little fun on the internet" isn't just a little fun and people who usually think that are usually ones who are guilty themselves. When you wed, you take a vow to love, honor, and cherish - he is not doing any of those by what he is doing. It's extremely disrespectful! there is NEVER an excuse for cheating - problems at home or otherwise!!!!!!!!

Well, where do i start pixie-with you...or with SHLANE! Pixie, you need to talk over your probs with your bloke on a one2one basis as it seems you have other issues with each other apart from the internet-you are tarring men with the same brush, stereotyping, classifying, call it what you will-we are not all the same...some of us get hurt too you know! SHLANE-so...you have met all men have you-you are completely qualified to say that ALL MEN ARE A$$HOLES-having met every man in this world-and the rest of the men who are gay? I think not deary, so unless you have absolute proof to back up your statement, do us all a favour and shut the fekk up. Just because you persist in picking up planks and spanners from squalid little bars and back alleys who treat you like sh1te,(which you obviously like-because you keep on picking these losers) does not mean we are ALL the same. MAKE SURE OF "FACTS" BEFORE COMMENTING.

Oh pleeeeese, don't tar us all with the same bloody brush.
I could make the same accusation at Women 'promising all' and then vanishing over the emotional skyline and leaving me feeling cheated.
Don't behave in the same way as everyone of your gender by coming out with such broad sweeping judgemental statements - try using some thinking before writing - putting your brain into gear first.
I don't doubt you feel cheated, hurt and so on, and your feelings are valid, but making sweeping statements about 'Men' doesn't do your case / argument any good.
Sorry ~ for your case and for your hurt feelings too.
Sash.

In the real world (internet or not) men do cheat, but everytime they do there's a woman involved and you can bet she's cheating on someone as well, so I guess that evens things up.
Next time he's online tell him that he's probably really talking to another man who's winding him up.

so your fella has been having a little fun on the net? So he's not actually met the person yet he's a lying cheating pig?
Don't be so uptight, it's only a bit of fun...maybe he's only doing it because he's not fulfilled at home! Maybe you should dress up in some sexy lingerie and let him have a no holes barred (and I mean NO holes barred, including brown) evening of fun with you, tell him that whatever his fantasies are that he can act them out with you. Do that and he'll not be using the net to chat to other women again ;)

If you've realized that he's hurt you so much by now, you need to leave him. Find someone else to date. There are other guys in the world that will treat you like you should be treated.
I dated a guy for a while myself hoping that things would get better, only to find myself crying during the entire relationship. It finally got to the point where I had enough and I moved on. I'm dating someone now that treats me like a woman and cares for me.

Well, well, well. Let's see here. My ex wife cheated on me behind my back, filed for a divorce, waited two weeks to tell me about it, along with my dad conveniced me that I not need a lawyer, and raped me in the A-S-S over and over again until I bleed out the kids and the cash! Take it from me, get a lawyer and be the first to file for a divorce. Take him by suprise and say you had enough of his cheating! He loves his internet love more than you! So, move on with your life!

You're an idiot!!! Cheating at an internet site??? Thats not cheating your moron, thats just acting like a pig.
I strongly suggest you leave him, seek assistance from a local mental health professional, learn to deal with life and all it entails, then perhaps you will be ready to have a healthy happy relationship where you won't sweat over the trivial crap that comes with it... oh, but first walk into your bathroom, look into the mirror, slap yourself in the head and say "DOH!"

Not all men are lying cheating pigs. Don't think I am! You will have to discuss this with him. If he doesn't respond satisfactorily then find your own internet mate! Hope this helps.
