Does it turn men off when women have confidence? or too much confidence? I am someone with a lot of confidence and sometimes guys assume that I already have a boyfriend because they say I am too confident. So now I wonder if guys or some guys like women to act weak? or unconfident?

Confident women are a lot more attractive, mostly because they believe they are. An insecure guy won't be attracted to a confident woman, but a man will be.

You got it right!~I have dated over a 100 men and there were so many whose ego could not stand for me to be confident, smart, or successful. The only way they would be interested in me is for me to play the part of a dumb blonde. This made them feel like a big strong man, but guys like this are just the ones you want around for a little play and thats it...who wants a guy who is not going to challenge you mentally? It is the ones who are confident in who they are that can do not mind that you are on top of your game--in fact they love it that you are--those guys are great to have because you can have such fun with them--you can be yourself--awesome. If it turns a man off that you are who you are then forget them--there are many more out there and dont forget it is just as easy to fall in love with a smart guy as a dumb one!

Hi Hello K,
By over confident, do you mean that you think that your cr@p doesn't stink? That can definitely be a turn-off to guys. Guys usually like girls who know what they want and are willing to go for it. They especially like girls who are aggressive and go after them. You get tired of always being the one to do the chasing.
But, maybe some guys don't like egotistical and rude girls. You need to be thinking of the guy too. It takes two to make a relationship work, and if you are always thinking about what you want and not taking care of your guy, that won't work either.

Actually, the more confident a woman is, the more attractive and sexier she is to me. As long as the confidence isn't arrogance, there is nothing finer to know a woman who is self assured. This usually means that she is happy, well educated, adventurous, and even a little bit devilish, all attractive qualities. I like a woman who can speak her mind, who knows the difference between a good intellectual discussion and an argument and never confuses the two. Don't act weak or subservient to any man for any reason...if he doesn't accept you for your well earned demeanor, he doesn't deserve you or the joy you could bring into his life.

I think that if you act too confident but people can't see the source of you're confidence it comes off as arrogant which is unattractive. There are some fat, ugly, stupid, and ignorant people who think they're off the hook but they really aren't and that just doesn't come off well.
At the same time there are those girls who got their career going, take good care of themselves, and when you look at them at they got their stuff together... I guess it's kind of intimidating cause we have this male superior stigma in our society.

I would think guys who have a low self esteem of himself, would be self- conscience that a women had her confidence and would tend to be around someone he could control a bit more...
A man who has all of those great qualities, would want a women that had confidence in herself.

I was always told the sexiest thing about a girl was her confidence, to be able to look men in the eye and light up a room.
Confidence isn't a bad thing, just don't be arrogent about it.
But guys do like to have some "power".

I like confident women, but I do not like assertive women...there is a slight difference, but it really makes the difference.

the only time it would be is when the male lacks it in himself..a man with good self confidence will appreciate that in a female
it's best to just be yourself and not conform into something else in order to appease others

I was with a woman on and off for 8 years, she made 150k and was a professional. It was great but hard at first to accept this. It just takes time to get deprogrammed from what the media has been pushing.
