like my best guy friend (I think he might like me) and was wondering if I should get him a Christmas gift. If so what should I say. I'm in 8th grade. What do 8th grade guys like. I know he likes basketball. HELP!!

That's really sweet that you have found someone you really like. Indeed, if you really like this guy, go for it. Get him a Christmas gift. Before your school lets out for Christmas, you have to find out more stuff that he likes. Sure, most guys that age love basketball, but there's got to be more. Try to find ways to hang out with each other a bit. This way you can get to know the kind of things he likes. Then, on the last day of school, before Christmas, you give him his gift, that is, unless you're going to see him over the Christmas break, then, you wait until you see him again.
I wish I could tell you exactly what to get this guy, but each person is so different. I hope, whatever you give him, he likes.

Well I am asking the same question. I am a freshman in high school and it is really interesting. you don't want to get anything too forward becuase of you do, things might get really different between the two of you. Get him something simple like a hat of his favorite team or even a shirt. Or find something else that he likes or wants for x-mas. Just remember go simple!

yea you should i am he likes basketball so get him something that has to do with basketball if he likes music find out what CDs he has and what CDs he wants
(it is funny i just got back from buying my 8th grade crush a basketball mug filled with snickers(his fav. candy) and i know that ever since i gave him a hint i was getting him something he has been wanting to know what i want for x-mas!!)

you should get him a present, if you are best friends he probably lieks you, because guys usually become friends with girls because they like them, as long as you let him know you like him before your friendship lasts three years, you will be fine. As far as presents go, i really cant help you there, most guys are hard to shop for, try asking a sibling of his what he likes, or one of his friends. You might try asking him in an inconspicuous way to get an answer out of him.

Find out more than just that 1 hobby. Get him a magazine subscription to Sport Illus. Good luck! Just do not make it too $$$.

then you can get him a basketball,,, a good one, not the rubber kind... or a jersey of his favorite nba player.. just say like he has been a good friend to you and thank him or sumthin,,, but don't show a lot of the liking part first,, let him tell you how he feels about you and then,,, well respond to it...

If you aren't sure if he likes you or not, and you aren't dating, i would not recommend something expensive or big. Get him a nice christmas card and maybe some candy.
