The max you should take is 400mg Ibuprofen every 4hours (if you're an adult) It's best if you alternate Tylenol with the Ibuprofen.

No! That is not safe. I am on my period (for the first time i might add, i wanna cry) and I take midol CONSTANTLY. And because of the eye problems I have, I want to take ibuprofen alot. THough I cant because it will give me an overdose. So i say, just drink hot water and let that help with the pain, but motrin and midol..... BAD MIX!

I'm not answering, merely responding to Nursegrad's comment. It is so freaking nice to finally see someone know that you can alternate the two every 2 hours prn. Every person I talk to, exluding doctors but including some pharmacists, say they have never heard this. Ceiling dose on Ibuprofen is 2400mgs, I believe, is that right Nursegrad? I know ceiling dosage for apap is 4000mg per day. Thanks for posting NG, a non idiot is always a welcome site to see on here.

None, he gave Neo a choice, he says: This is your last chance. After this, there is no turning back. You take the blue pill - the story ends, you wake up in your bed and believe whatever you want to believe. You take the red pill - you stay in Wonderland, and I show you how deep the rabbit hole goes. Of course, Neo chose the red one. You see, it's all about choices.

What happens if I miss a dose?

Since ibuprofen is used when needed, you may not be on a dosing schedule. If you are on a schedule, use the missed dose as soon as you remember. Skip the missed dose if it is almost time for your next scheduled dose. Do not use extra medicine to make up the missed dose.
