In most other countries (but especially in Asia) people don't give their animals people names. They give their animals descriptive names (Red, Spot). We had 2 cats when we lived in Indonesia Pumpkin (who was orange) and Kijang (it means deer, but there is a car called a Kijang thats engine makes a lot of noise and the cat was always purring) our housekeeper named both cats.

How about INU-YASHA or TOKYO!?! Sounds good to me, both of them. Inu-Yasha is a dog in real sence. Tokyo on the other hand is a dog of the United States.
