Last night my boyfriend and I were on the phone and he says "****! GODAMMNIT! Let me call you back!!" and I'm like "Okay." and 20 minutes pass and I don't hear anything from him. So then I'm like kinda worried as to what happened. I know his mom, sister, and brother all fight with one another...they fight at least once a day. So I didn't know what happened, I was worried.

So he calls me 20 minutes later saying "I'm in the car taking my sister to her friends house!" and I'm like "Ooook. Bye!" slightly annoyed that I'm sittin here waitin on you for 20 minutes and you already in the car, going to get something to eat, and takin your sister somewhere.

This angers him and he starts yelling at me telling me he feels like he has to report his every move to me and that I was timing him. He said he was just about to call me when he saw his little sister walking in the rain and offered her a ride. He told me all he did was drop a glass on the floor and that took about 10 minutes to clean up..then he got dressed and left the house. He said I shouldn't have hung up on him without him explaining before. He told me he didnt owe me no explanation to every move he made, but why cant you call me just to let me know everythings okay though? I would totally let him know everything is okay...AS SOON AS I CLEANED UP THE MESS!

Men are used to be strong and in control. We take it for granted that, in a situation like that, of course everything is OK. We are men after all. For you to imply otherwise by "being worried" is insulting and annoying. You think you are caring about his welfare. He's wondering where you get off questioning his strength and ability.

Men and women think differently and ascribe VERY different meaning to things. Get used to it. You will be dealing with this issue for every single day of the rest of your life.

Honestly, when you're talking about getting angry for not getting a call for twenty minutes you need to relax more than a little bit.

If he hung up and didn't call back for a week, maybe you'd have some justfication for hanging up. As it is, all you've told him is that you are too uptight to worry about. He called you back and you chose to be rude. That wouldn't encourage me to call you back quickly (or at all)
