Accord is probably better because its been around since 2002 and they've pretty much worked out any problems. 2007 Camry is brand new in terms of stying and engine so it may have problems that are not so evident right now.

It is a wash, they are both excellent cars. The Camry is overall a bit more reliable, but it is very close. They are both still the best in class.
Bear in mind the Camry was recently redesigned, and the Accord will be redesigned for the 2008 model year. I could be wrong, but I thought only the 2dr Accord and Camry/Solaris were made in Japan.
You can get the Accord with a 6speed manual in coupe or sedan form with the V6. This is not something the Camry offers.
The only things I am not overly fond of on the Accord's is the typical Honda 90k service (I do not know if the new ones still use timing belts that need to be replaced though), and I always thought they were underbraked (rotors too small for a lead foot).

i own a repair shop, and i can help,, i think,as far as build goes, its as good as the quality is on either one of these vehicles,,but the Camry has prov-en to give longer life than the accord does, and as far as assembly goes if it bothers you about where its built from then you can consider this as a factor, but the quality of it,,is as good a the ones built here in the states ,reliability,,again both of these vehicle have been known to last as long,,or longer than any other vehicle made the on market,,either of these cars are as good as the other,,i have seen and drove the new Camry,,i haven't gotten to drive the accord yet,but from what i hear about it,it too should be alright.,but this is a hard decision to make between the two of those,id go drive them, and see for my self, that's one sure way to help you decide,,good luck i hope this help,s.

Which is better? Two fifty dollar bills ... or five twenty dollar bills? Answer: both are nice to have. Both the Accord and the Camry are excellent choices.

Either is great! Yes it matters for the costs they pass on to us who buy the cars and no it doesn't because American car builders aren't living up to there end and supplying us with safer cars. The top thirteen safest cars aren't American sadly.
