I can't afford a gym membership so I used to run around my neighborhood on weekends and now the snow is piled up so high I can barely walk!

I've been doing home excersizes from DVDs but is this enough?

What can I do?

I now belong to a gym but before that I use to take my dog running in the snow either in the fields or at the park. It is actually an excellent workout. it kept me in great shape for the summer. You actually get a better workout in the snow than on dry pavement. But you can also buy the workout resistant chords. They are inexpensive and very effective. So are some of the free weight or dumb bells. The exercise balls are one of the greatest sources of an effective workout. They are pretty inexpensive but effective. A cheap way to build a home gym

Buy a treadmill, bike, or ellispe machine. That way you can run inside your home. Many treadmills will fold up for easy storage in a closet or garage corner. I do sit-ups and ployometrics while running.

Don't let the snow stop you. Just do it. Maybe you can drive out to the country side and run there.

Yes, cardio exercises from DVDs should be enough.

That's what I do in the Winter.
