just caught a five or six mo. old kitten nursing younger siblings in moms absence how?

is that possible? We caught the mom and one kitten and had them picked up. We were planning on catching the older one and taking her to be spayed mid december. Made the arrangements with the vet today, while having her same age siblings stitches removed. IF she is somehow pregnant, could she be already having milk to give the little bros and sisters? Or are they just seeking comfort and she is providing it?. Mom has been gone for two weeks..all are feral.

just ask the vet when you go see him , be a better source for your question ,she might be pregnant ........
