I'm sorry to hear about your dog. You should take some comfort in knowing that you were able to relieve your dog's suffering. It is the kindest and last thing we do for them.

I'm sure your other pet is confused, give him some time. Animals go through a grieving process also, in a little while he will be back to normal. In the meantime, spend some extra time with him and give him a little more love and attention.

Good luck.

I am so sorry to hear about your dog. They are part of the family and the grief is real and so hard to deal with. The best thing to do for your dog that is still with you, is to give it some extra love every now and then. Buy it a new toy or stuffed animal that it could carry around or just play with it.
As for you, grieve...that's all...simply grieve. It is okay to do that. They say; "time heals all wounds"...well, I don't necessarily believe it heals but it does get a little better.
I hope this helps you because there is not much more I can say to ease your pain. Except for, keep thinking like you are....he is no longer in pain anymore.

I would try to spend a litte more time with your dog that is still with you, and give him attention. He is just like you , and prob. dealing with the loss of his friend too. I beleive that animals can grieve the same way. I've had to put a few animals to sleep, b/c of sickness and old age. Once we did that, the other animals in the house seemed to react a little different, but they soon came out of it.
But the dog a new toy, or give him something favorite that he loves.

Sorry about your loss, it is a hard thing to loose a pet.

We had a pair of dogs together for 9 years. When we lost one of them the other quit eating for almost a week and moped around. We gave him extra love, attention, and started taking him for walks. He slowly got over it but it takes some time. Just try to give him as much love and attention as you can to let him know he's still loved.

i don't understand if that is a regular challenge, yet I in many situations do not sleep nicely and do not even sense drained on my own anymore, so don't sense alienated, there are others. i don't understand of any certain complications or syndromes that it will be, yet perhaps you've insomnia. In both case, I absolutely have a answer that i take advantage of myself. I take a pill of melatonin each nighttime about 0.5-hour before i opt for to bypass to mattress. i'm effective it is made with the aid of numerous businesses, even if it is also made with the aid of nature made. that is a evidently occurring substance contained in the body and taking a pill of it purely facilitates to easily about at modern-day calm you into being drained. yet another danger might want to be Sleep with the aid of Nature Made which has melatonin as well as eco-friendly tea in it to calm your ideas as well as make you drained.

Animals, like humans do grieve, and feel lost[lonesomeness]. The other answer is right, spend more time with your other pet. It can do wonders for the both of you.
Am so sorry for your loss, been there myself.
