Yeah, she was his first cousin...Ew.
He said he didn't know they were cousins. But then when he explained how they got together, it seems he DID know before they started dating. Perhaps they never even slept together, but if they dated TWO years, probably they did.

Weird and gross, but not illegal (in many states). Contrary to the beliefs that cousin-daters have, it IS possible to inbreed with that much distance between you, genetically. Inbreeding leads to mental and physical disabilities. I think doing something that you KNOW could bring that upon a child should be considered child abuse. (If it's accidental or random, it's not abuse of course.)
I wouldn't date him. Too much weird family baggage there. I mean, there's no way the cousin won't be in you guys' life. And if they were together for 2 years, chances are they...you know. I know it's an immature reaction on my part, but EW!

Was it his FIRST cousin, cause if so, YES that is wierd...
Even second cousin is a bit close for comfort.
Anything beyond that is really not quite as bad and in most states (if not all) completely legal. Usually referred to as "kissing cousins."
Perhaps a bit odd if they grew up together but if not, perhaps not so bad.
The rule is generally anything closer than 3rd cousins, is well, yes, weird!
(Unless of course you are in Arkansas... then it is an IMPROVEMENT! LOL)

No... because i know a lot of guys who date their COUSIN... if they are from the middle east.. It is normal for Middle Easter to date their cousins... On the other hand American people don't date their cousin.. Is like date your own sister....

Many questions here, did they each know they were cousins? Are they cousins by marriage or blood. It can be a little freaky, but it happens out there.

This is extremely werid and he could be telling you this to scare you away or just because he's werid and he wants you to know I would find a different guy, one that wouldn't try to scare me away or be werid and date their cousin for two years.
