If you buy some plastic stoppers for wine bottles available in most good supermarts, and seal the bottle before chilling some wines will keep for week or longer, especially the reds.

So long as you put the cork back in about 4-5 days, however there is a device on the market which sucks out all the air then seals the bottle so it's like it was never opened and will keep indefinitely.

You can keep white wine in the fridge for three days to a week, as along as it is well chilled.
Then after a wek it deteriates.

Red wine is also three days, but make sure there is a cover on to to stop the air from getting in.

You can tell when wine is off by the taste...........its bitter and you wont be able to drink it.#

Hope that helps!!!

Once any wine has been opened and exposed to the air it starts to deteriorate but it will keep for awhile in the fridge but for best taste you should consume as soon as possible after opening the bottle.

The only time a bottle of wine in my house lasts past the opening is when I only use it for cooking. Then only up to a week in the frig. If I don't use it by then for cooking, I drink it.

very good wine, will last you about 2-3 days. try not to strech the redwine but you can use it for the cooking instead. white wine is very good for sauces.
the wine will start to taste acidic and will taste like vinegar. then it is a sign to chuck it.
cheers!
