I used to initiate a controversy with the character giving the risky service. Then, after it had escalated previous all redemption, i might call for to make certain the govt and initiate arguing in all places returned. that did no longer do plenty extraordinary and it made me look like a jackass in front of the different clientele. Now, i'm going to you are going to be basically ideal natured approximately it some element the priority is, and nudge the worker alongside. If that doesn't artwork, i visit declare some element like, "I see you and that i'm no longer able to be equipped to make certain this. might you please get your supervisor?" often, that places the clerk in a extra cooperative temper and each thing gets worked out. in lots of cases, the clerk gets a supervisor. quite often, the bigger up you bypass, the extra the supervisor has using on a sufficient very outcome. For representation, a minimum-salary clerk won't grant a damn besides the fact that in case you're comfortable or no longer, yet a save supervisor whose earnings relies on sales desires you to come again returned -- and produce your pals with you. the extra any person has using on a organisation's fulfillment, the extra customer-friendly they could be.

I've never dealt with Circuit City but I'll nominate Eircom, Ireland's biggest phone company. I've lived in 3 places where I wanted to get a phone line connected

1. Took 6 months of badgering them to come and connect me. Every time I called I had to go through the whole process of explaining I just wanted my line connected but they never seemed to have a clue that I had been asking for months.

2. An engineer came out pretty quickly but found a problem with the line. Said he would go and get something and be back in an hour. Never saw him again. Kept calling but gave up. 10 months later got a call from Eircom out of the blue asking did I still want my line connecting. I said thanks, but no thanks.

3. Connected in 2 months (yahoo! lucky me!) but spent that time calling their inept customer service countless times. Quite often I was cut off in the middle of speaking. Never happens when I call anybody else....strange that. During the 2 months I was being billed for a line that didn't work. When the engineer was fixing the line I said it had been very badly installed. 10 minutes later he was telling me that it was him that installed in the first place. Moron!

Now I have a phone line and fast internet but I'm dreading any problems in the future. Eircom sucks!

As a retail manager for 20 years let me explain some of what happens.

During Christmas retailers will hire anyone that can speak and breathe. So customer service sucks big time. The problem with cricut city is that is their normal hiring practice.

The stock market seems to agree with you. Circuit city shares are drifting lower while Best Buy shares generally are improving.
