San Marzano italian canned tomatoes. I think I got mine at Trader Joe's or World Market. I believe San Marzano is the region in Italy. They are much sweeter and not a whole lot more expensive if you can buy them locally. I first heard about them on either Everyday Italian or 30-Minute Meals.....

Yes, Dei Fratelli (sauce, regular tomatoes, stewed tomatoes, whatever). Above poster really knows her tomatoes!

I like Hunts, although I haven't noticed that much difference with the cheaper brands.

Dei Fratelli chopped itilian tomatoes with herbs and olive oil. awesome, great for anything you use tomatoes for, great hot or cold. fantastic in pasta salad, you need nothing else, wonderful in pasta sauces.

Unico. My Italian family will only use Unico (when they aren't using fresh tomatoes!).
