My sons teacher is gay. And I feel just fine with that. Their sexuality has nothing to do with their teaching capabilities. Don't mistake homosexuality for pedophilia.

If their teaching methods were up to par then I don't think it's any of anyones business what they do in their private time. I've had multiple gay teachers, mentors, and certainly hundreds of gay friends. All of them just as human and wonderful and the next person.

Yuke- so you're more worried about the fact that he's "shoving his life style down your child's throat" than the enormous amount of hetero teachers shoving their penises down young girls throats? Yes I see exactly how that one works.

I had several gay teachers and lecturers. What counts for me is the quality of the teaching. I suppose you would prefer a useless bigot?

HS teacher? Ask your child how much he/she likes this teacher, does this teacher do a good job? If so let him be, if not get him out on principal of not teaching... leaving the sexuality out of it

I wouldn't care. I'm straight but have no problem with gay people. How are they so different from straight people?
How would you feel if your childs teacher was STRAIGHT is the question.
You'd not care? But you have a problem with the gays? Biased homophobe...

Although it would be really awkward around them. Especially if the teacher was a gal, because I am as well.

I don't think that it should be an issue.. I never heard any of my teachers talking about their heterosexual relationships, and I don't think that he talks about his homosexual relationships! I don't even understand why anybody cares! what he does in his own home is his business not anybody else's!

why does it matter? i think as a parent you should be more interested in his teaching capabilities. school districts are going to hell all over the country and you are worried about this teacher being gay???? please.

Gladly, I never had to face this when my children attended school...I don't think it's going to effect their teaching...However, if it happened now and just out of personal principle, I would remove them from that class...I am not very happy at all that they have come out of the closet, where they belong and shoving such a despicable lifestyle down our throat's...

Here comes the thumbs down again...lol...Yuke

I think it would depend on what their personality was like when I met them
