I only hope that this is true. All blind faith results in is hatred and discrimination. How people can turn their common sense and intelligence off when it comes to religion, I will never know. And how anybody can actually believe that their religion is the true one, is also beyond me. There are many lies associated with religion that I do hope science is able to disprove again, again, and again. It would make for far more peace in the world.

I partially agree though I am not in favour of the word 'enforced'. If it is being enforced, the means does not make a difference. It should prevail by reason. However, there will always be things about faith that we cannot totally comprehend and has to accept out of 'faith'. Sometimes questionniong does not help you get anwers; why? because faith is from Allah and Allah knows best.

Peace

With all due respect to Mahatma Gandhi, I have to disagree. I see plenty of people who's faith is irrational but still very strongly held. If people really want to believe in something, they will, even at the costs of irrationality and self-delusion.

Faith is based on those things that are not seen so to say that if faith becomes blind it dies is totally the opposite of what it really is.

Sounds logical. When one starts blindly believing, they loose all sense of logic as to the history of why the faith was invented in the first place.

In one way I would agree. Faith without reason is a faith by tradition. Such as a child who is raised in the Catholic church by his parents, but never takes it seriously. He has faith by tradition.
