The simplest way is to use glass-wax and snowflake stencils to create a wintry look along the edges and bottom of the window and then hang a simple green wreath dead center and place a battery operated plastic candle inside the wreath. I've seen this done many times and it is very effective, especially from the outside.

I use craft paint you can get it all different colors some times i use stencils but the craft stores have these foam stencils in different holiday patterns for halloween I had pumpkins and candy corn on my windows for Christmas i will be having snow and snow flakes the paint just scrapes off with a razzor blade and I vacume it up (and no it does not damage the glass) Its cheap and creative!

use more of red, silver n white. paint CDs with red and decorate it with silver and hang it on the windows. take red n white dupattas( shawls) and hang it like they hang ribbons on b'days. Or hang things like red or white socks or caps .,etc.anything with red or white will look beautiful.
