Why is there so much heartache after diconnecting from a relationship that wasn't working? Perhaps you cared for the person but knew it would never work. Incompatible. Several "talks" but no improvements. Too many things making you feel unhappy. Differences of temperment etc. etc etc

It's because you cared about that person. but guess what? in the future you'll meet a person that you love completely and know that things will work for you guys. and then you'll be like, i'm so glad i ended things with that relationship. i could have messed up my whole life by staying with that person. but now, i'm with some one i luv and iam happy.

I hear ya, like the pain will never go away and your all alone and there is no one to help make that feel even a little bit better except for the one your heart belongs too... I know that feeling like the back of my hand and also know that only time will help with the pain... So I spend a good amount of time outside every night and meditate to un leash what my heart hurts over and every day I feel better but this has been going on for the past four months and now finally i'm starting to just a little feel relief... It sucks and it hurts but I know that i'm strong enough to get over this and so are you... It's time for you to cry and scream and be in total devastation to start healing yourself- you can't get over it until you go through it.....

For 11 years I felt the same way.I really tried my utmost
to make my 11 year relationship to work. Finally his
drinking got so bad he tried killing me. I was devastated.
But I got a protective order. I moved on,and asked Jesus
for a new lover ready for me. He plays the organ in church service and sings in the same group I have been singing
for the last 3 years. I moved on and was finally rewarded
with a Christian love for 1 year and 6 months. So my advice is go to church and rejoice .Watch what God
can do for you ! You will be with better people, esp.a new love who will treat you right . You both can grow in love
and closer to God and closer to each other.
Just try it and God will answer your prayers !!!

There is still heartache because you obviously are a person with a heart.
The good thing is it is OVER. If it was not working then it is better for you to be out of it for your heart to heal and give the love and care to someone that wants it and will return it to you.

there's a frightening hadith of Prophet(pbuh) i do no longer understand the extraordinary words however the hadith is that if a Muslim see an oppression and is derived to a decision to no longer do something approximately it, does not condemn the acts of the oppressor by his coronary heart or by his speech have the backside point of Emaan.

you're right..it is your heart thats hurting
&&theres no real way to stop it except for to move on
eventually you wont hurt anymore
even though this person will always be in your heart
you'll have room for other people
dont try to start seeing other people again too soon if you're not ready
..it will just remind you of that person even more
*hope this helps*
