Both! Which is most prominent depends on what type of thinking you engage in. If you're concentrating on thoughts related to physical activities that you're carrying out then your feelings come second and are affected BY the thoughts - but also by the endorfins that may be released into your bloodstream by the exertion. If you're thinking about abstract thoughts that are not related to what you're doing then internal feelings take charge and affect your thoughts. It's very hard to think depressing thoughts when you're on top of the world. but if you feel down you think things that will resonate with that feeling. That's what I believe anyway. Hope that helps.

I would agree with "rarosera." I know in the feeling of sadness or depression that the feeling results in your thinking negative thoughts which, in turn results in a deeper depression in a self feeding orgy of negativity. The thing that triggers a depression in the first place is usually an act or word done to you that makes you think negatively about your own worth. It is difficult but you can "break" an orgy of negativity by forcing yourself to think and act positively.
