they are saying they want $181 in order to fix it because they say its from "impact" damage and that voids the warranty. But I was using the camera when it broke..I was taking pictures and then I turned it to view the pics and then it froze up. Can I fight this??? How?

Sony has a recall on their cybershot cameras for that very thing. The screens have been known to malfunction and Sony has said it would fix these cameras free of charge. You can look up more details on the web as to the specifics. But yes you can fight it!!!! Good Luck

Try the Better business Bureau. They are good at problems like that. they got KIA to give us a new car.

Sounds like you need to tell them to prove it was dropped.If not,tell them you are going to sue them.
