The Shari'a, or Islamic Law, asks for an absurdly high, nearly impossible to achieve and illogical test to prove rape cases. To make matters worse, the 'four witness' requirement came directly from Muhammad.

Riyadh, 28 Nov. (AKI) - In apparent recognition of rising rates of sexual violence in the Kingdom, Saudi Arabia has opened a specialised clinic to carry out tests on rape victims, Gulf News reports. The establishment of the clinic comes after a teenage gang rape case that has triggered debate. The Girl of Qatif, as she has been dubbed by the Saudi media, was sentenced to more lashes than one of her alleged rapists received...

TO SOME OF THE MUSLIM REPONDENTS:
In the Saudi gang rape case the woman in question was found guilty of fornication and sentenced to lashes. How do you you justify this disgraceful religion of yours?

Share's contribution is an ugly combination of political correctness in relation to religion and her misandry. I really hate that.

I don't think that most Muslims have the balls to speak out. They do not believe in 'Separation of Church and State' by US standards, and so are subject to the same kinds of atrocities that people faced in the days of the Inquisitions of Europe and the unbending practices of the Anglican Church.

The saying is, that if you don't know history, it will repeat itself. I think that those Muslims in those countries that are in power, are the same as the murderous popes, using their power in evil ways, and subjecting those people with the same kind of religious fanaticism as was done in the past.

The Muslims are afraid in those countries. There will be a backlash, in the Christian Bible it says that there will be one that stands up, and he will do things and say things that gets the world to love him. This man, I believe, will put a stop to these things, and yet he will be the Anti-christ.

Iike Fred S - AM Cappo Di Tutti Capi has pronounced... She is being punished for being on my own with a guy and having affair with him no longer for being raped. Yea she and her lover have been given jumped and raped yet does not excuse the fact she broke the regulation in the past the rape by being on my own with a guy that replaced into no longer her husband. So she isn't mattress "lashed for gang-rape" as to the poster places it and as so ignorantly others right here bypass on blah blah approximately it.

Misogyny exists in all religions. In fact misogyny exists within all men because they hate everything that is different from themselves, even women. We should speak out against all forms of violence against all persons.

Islamic Law is still in the dark ages and still treats women as slaves and these women have no power to change or improve their lot in life because they are denied the education that would inform them that they have human rights. Even so called liberated educated women in free country's do not yet have full equality with men.

Yes and yes and yes.

Yes in Pakistan, the religious leaders (mullas) are trying to overthrow the government because government is poised to end such laws (promulgated by Gen Zia-ul-Haq) which discriminate against women.

Your data are not correct . in my country Islamic Republic of Iran ,rape victims are not sentence to any crime and treated very kindly . On the other hand the rapists are sentenced to grave and criminal crimes even to death.
Also the 4 witness case is for another crime (zena) (to have sex with someone not married to ) and not for rape. here medical and police witness for rape is enough

This is crazy, and illogical. Yes, we absolutely should speak out for the rights of rape victims.

I am sickened by this.

The four witnesses apply to women who are accused of fornication or adultery. Rape isn't included in that. They are not following Prophet Muhammad or real Islamic Law (Quran).

Christianity went through a similar stage. Please don't talk about the Prophet of Islam without knowledge. Would you accuse Jesus (PBUH) of telling his followers to burn women who are accused of being witches?

The U.S. has problems too, we are more harsh in critism to other countries then we are to our own. U.S. has various problems that are on the same level as theres, like govenment officials not protecting children who are victums of sex scandals to save there jobs. Or preachers touching kids.

It is the duty of all to speak out against injustice but yes it is a Christian responsibility to point out things which go directly against the teachings of God. However, we have to know that if someone will not listen, we cannot force the issue. We have to shake it off and let God deal with it. It is God's job to dole out whatever judgement he sees fit and vengeance belongs to the lord.
