I want to lay ceramic tile but have portions of old linoleum on the floor. It's very old and difficult to scrape so I'm wondering if I can just pour self leveler over it...

Scrape off as much as you can. If there's a little that won't come up thats okay... the leveler will take care of it and you'll be fine.

Your best bet would be to scrape the rest up, try a narrower scraper blade like the width of a utility knife, you can use one of those blades in a hand held scraper. Take smaller bites and it will should come right up. The self leveling floor stuff takes forever to dry and doesn't feather out to well. You will have a better bonding area and a level surface with the floor up.
