freeze the cookies after they are made, put them in a air tight container, and you will always have cookies handy when you have company. if your planing on not cooking, then I would make them in to the shapes, that you want put them on a tray (make sure there on parchment paper) freeze them and then put them in a freezer bag so when you want some, you don't have to thaw out the hole lump some.

Freeze the dough. Baked cookies can pick up too much moisture from the freezing process. For best results, divide the dough into little balls (the size you want to bake later), set them not quite touching each other onto a sheet of waxed paper on a cookie sheet. Set the sheet into your freezer uncovered, overnight. Write yourself a note to get them out the next morning. Put them into a freezer bag and store. You can then easily pull out as many as you want to bake.

It depends on what is the ingredients and how long you plan to keep the cookies in the freezer. I find it tastes better if keep cookie dough in freezer that way it keeps the flavor still in there, because when you cook it, the flavors spreads around in the cookies and then when you freeze them, they might lose some flavor as well.

you want to freeze the cookie dough because why would you want frozen cookies? The point of making cookies is to taste the warmth in your mouth. I say if you dont like making the whole thing of cookie dough then cut it in thirds and use them when you want.

I would freeze the dough, because then the cookies would be fresher when made. And, who wants to eat thawed out cookies?

Freezing the dough. It makes the cookies more tender, and a freshly-baked cookie is a wonderful thing!

i've always frozen the dough in portions of a batch or two. the dough keeps very well in the freezer and the cookies will taste great. if you freeze the cookies, they just don't taste the same.

freezing cookies after they're made does work, but freezing the actual dough is much better.

Wrap the dough tightly and freeze it in small batches. This way, you can thaw out smaller amounts in the fridge and make fresh cookies whenever you want!
