The side effects vary from person to person. And many Drs. will say that the effects you experience are NOT from the drug. However, you can research online and find that many people experience the same thing.

That being said, the problems I had while taking it were horrible.
The first few weeks I had severe depression (which I never had before, or since quitting the meds) fatigue.. to the point of exhaustion. Some days I was unable to even get out of bed.
A few months after starting it I had tingling in my hands, feet and face.. sometimes with numbness.

Kidney stones are also very common.. If you have ever had stones... you should NOT take Topamax. It is very likely that you will have more.
I have 4 stones that I have been waiting to pass for 6 months and my urologist told me I should have never taken this medication with my history of stones.

It will also make certain foods and drinks taste really bad. Mainly pop and tea.
After about 9 months using the meds, my hair started falling.

My family Dr. said none of these were side effects of topamax and yet I found a site with many people complaining of the exact same problems.
I was taking the medication for Migraines (and it did prevent the migraines, but all the problems weren't worth it) I quit taking it after close to 1 year.
