I think that asking questions to which Christians will reply with 'faith' usually means that the question is asking them how they justify such-and-such a belief. Since I already know that 'faith' will be one of the most common answers to questions like, "How do you know that there is a God?", "How do you know that your beliefs are right?" and "How do you know the Bible's stories are true?", I think that asking such questions without offering any kind of follow-up is usually a big waste of time. The asker usually already knows what the answer will be. so what's the point? If you're actually trying to get someone to think very deeply about a certain issue, then it's better to go into more detail with it than a simple, "How do you know such-and-such?"

YES> That is what it all comes down to
I think what you want is an argument or something that you can rationalize away. Usually questions like the one you are talking about are only asked to put us down or make us question those things we hold dear and you are looking for reasons not to believe in G_D.
