I understand what you mean. And when they do answer, they copy/paste scripture for an answer, as if they can't think for themselves. If I wanted to read the Bible or Quran I would. When I ask a question I want a real answer, from a real person, and from their perspective.
In all honesty, I don't think a lot of people are able to think beyond what they read, and therefore they cannot answer your questions.

I will tell you why. If you are asking truly hard, or amazing questions, then it would stand to reason that not many COULD respond. They are hard questions, about hard things. I say keep asking, and you never know when you are going to get someone who has an answer. Don't be surprised though, that you don't get the best answers. Lots of people ARE out to post apparent contradictions, and spout off. Maybe you are not like that and don't want to be lumped with them. I promise you though, if YOU are truly seeking, and want to know truth, keep on seeking, and you will find it. You MUST keep an honest, open intellectual mind though, or you will fall into a trap, and truth will always elude. A hint....go sometimes, with the things you DO know about a religion, not the things that maybe don't "weigh" as much. There is much to verify, etc, for the things you do understand. You sound like smart person, and there just may not be that many here that can really answer you. Keep asking though......

Yes--I know what you mean. Ya know, I took a lot of Comparative Religion classes in college, and love to discuss that stuff, but I often refrain from the "Religion" page on Answers because of the juvenile comments and the negative bickering. There ARE some people who will give you serious, well-thought answers, but you often have to wade through all the crapp from the jokers. One thing you must remember about Religion: ANYONE can answer and post their thought, even morons, since there is one correct, set in stone answer, like in Math or Economics, or Science. Right? You never see these numbskulls venting their childish answers on those pages because they cannt understand. But on Religion, even a nimrod with a room temperature IQ can answer. But don't give up: keep on with your questions and you will occasionally get some good answers.

Why ask religious questions? The Bible is not life. The Christian, Hindu, or Islamic religions may not be the best sources for finding out the truth of this world. There are bits scattered throughout every subject you can study in this world.

i'm a Bible believing Christian and would hardly believe what you're speaking about. You ask about coping with Christians and that i ask your self what there is to administration and why is it that those aggressive human beings rush as a lot as get on your face and "attempt to ram their beliefs down your throats." How does each person even comprehend you're an Atheist? How does in stand out that it causes some aggressive jerk of a Christian to provide you a sermon on Christian ideology. i do not comprehend yet i'd imagine that on the uncommon circumstances some one needs to dominate you and mutually provide you with a sermon on Jesus, doesn't that human being provide up once you assert," Excuse me yet i'm no longer fascinated in such issues as that and have already got my personal beliefs" If that doesn't provide up them there is continually danger of gradually increasing assertiveness and declaring something like, "What became there about "no longer fascinated" that you probably did not understand? Then if that doesn't artwork, call the Police on your cellular telephone and ask them to come back instantly. I guess that if the Jerk hears you ask the Poloce to come back they are going to go away instantly. Why argue with someone like that? it is going to easily get you aggravated and ruin your day. by no ability argue with thim about non secular issues, purely go away.

I'm so sorry you have had to deal with that. I have seen people of faith tackling the real and difficult questions, I suggest muddling through the crap answers to look for the real answers and continue to post your question until you get the right answer. Good Luck!

I agree, and those that do respond use cyclical logic to prove their point. For example if you ask how can you prove that God exists. Their answer might be something like: Just look around you and see how everything is so perfect. Therefore only a God could have created it all.

Dont count on people for your answer...they're not God after all. Look inside...all you need is right there honey, but it's no good to you with a conscience or acceptance of the truth.

Because there is a serious problem of censorship by violation reporting which Yahoo know about and wont do anything about!!!
People cannot be bothered to give a serious answer because they know that it will get the censorship treatment!!!
