Check the font and style of the text. If it is Ariel Bold or some other "bold" text, it won't show up on the page with the cursor as bold. It also won't get "bolder" if you select the bold item.

Hope that helps

good luck and God Bless

When you "bold" text, sometimes it appears darker on screen and sometimes not. You can check whether or not it is actually bold by selecting or placing your cursor on the word then look at the "B" (bold) button on the formatting toolbar. If the text is bold, the B will look like it has been depressed and will appear lighter in color.

As to the "why" -- who knows? I have given a second look to my work at times. Maybe the screen or pixels are having a bad hair day. What does it matter if you want the text bold, and it is?
