I don't believe anything Putin has to say. His actions are speaking much louder than any words he has coming out of his mouth.

We'll see what happens with Russia when the new President takes over in 2007.

I think that some aspects are still alive and well
in Russia in regards to communisim. You can't
just have a government trained to repress and
contain the people and trasistion seemlessly
to democracy.

Already there have been small things that we
as a nation and the world has not noticed.
There has been an escalation in the Russian's
fight with Chenya. With some Chenyians claiming
that the Russians have planted bombs and claimed
they were rebel's bombs. Putin has quitely started to
shut down the independent newspapers in Russia
as well as independent TV stations. Lastly there is a
a lot of suspicions in regards to his government in
the assasination of Alexander Litvinenko and
Anna Politkovskaya. Both vocal critics of Putin's
adminstration. As of Dec 1st. The radiation poison
that killed Valterovich has been traced back to a
Russian Nuclear plant.

There is no such thing as Communist's way... only criminal's way, Communism is also a good Government as it is a Government, and only the Governance is a problem, specially when it deals on power positioning, where all the criminal tricks are used just the way you might have noticed from the Democratic form of Government around the World.

So, trusting is in the eyes of those who have personal touch of the Man and its Entity. As you can see... espionage is a tricky world and the Police works and their finality is the one that should be looked upon and trust is not in the Media.

It's obvious, that the "Communist way" is different as it was 15 years ago, but Putin never changed. A politician like that never will!

What's the problem? The cold war is over, if he is a communist or not, we are not supposed to worry about.
