Right. When has a recent Pope whipped up an obvious miracle?
isn't he suppose to be able to do everything that Christ could do? Like raise the dead? Or does he just stand around looking like Count Dracula?

The miracles do in fact happen, they're just ignored by the mass media. Do some research on the miracle of Fatima, and all the miracles at Lourdes. Also, more currently is Batania (sp?) In South America. Also, various saints (Bernadette, Teresa of Avila, Pope John XXIII, etc. ) are incorrupt! (No Rot). Many people have experienced miracles involving the Guadalupe image. Hindus saw Jesus on the cross (an apparition) Rose petals appeared out of nowhere in Boulder... They are there. You just have to look with an open mind.

The strange thing is that the Bible predicted our future (current) happenings.
Genesis is Big Bang (and a Catholic Priest posulated that one).
The Genome is God's plan -- the everything is fixed (they say the Genome triggers cancer, for example) and it's a part of Genentics, which was founded by a Augstinian Abbott.
Jesus brought the dead back to life with a touch and we have CPR today.
Jesus said we can all do everything he did. God said, except for life eternal on this Earth, we would be as Gods since we now knew Good and Evil.

because the Bible also states the natural carnal mind cant see and understand the things of God. You are blind miracles after miracles are happening everyday but if you hear them you just defensively say hey that was a scam or fake or a hoax
so thats why you dont see because YOU dont believe! Ive been healed many times of ailments and have seen people healed by the power of God! Ive seen people with serious financial burdens be suddenly prospered or delivered from their plight. Ive seen people who were raised from the dead! but your doubt and unbelief is so strong you wont believe and therefore wont see
wake up man! the Holy Ghost IS moving and miracles and signs and wonders are everywhere

Miracles are still happening every day.
Try going to a Pentecostal or Apostolic church (they usually have a high likely hood of people who will have gifts of the spirit - each church is different).
Check out the Guideposts publication and books.
Look up Katerine Kolman, AA Alain, Etty, Oral Roberts, and other who have had great healing ministries in the 1900's.

If you do a study on ancient literature, you will find that the bible is actually an amazing reliable historical document! My question for you, why couldn't they have lived as long? I guess they could have exaggerated that part, but why would they. I am not sure it helps promote any agenda.

Even spectacular miracles would become boring if done over and over again. God is a person, not a natural phenomenon. Why would he keep doing something ad nauseum?
You are free to believe what you want. You are even free to disbelieve the truth. But you are responsible for your own decisions. Sounds fair to me. How about you?

Baa humbug. The more literally you take the Bible, the better.
As for translations, you can download versions from the original Hebrew, Aramaic, and Greek. Many resources online.

I once read somewhere that God will give us 6 days (each day is 1,000 years) to run the Earth as we see fit. On the 7th day, God will return and be in charge of Earth. So we do not see any more miracles until that day comes.
Hope this helps.

i love Jesus, but the Bible was written by men, and by now I have every reason to believe that they have twisted his words and "had fun with it", if you will.
Constantine was a very clever man.
