28! just wait till you hit 40 and up! It's all about continuing to exercise but after 40 it is very hard to lose weight because I believe metabolism slows down..so start working out at least three times a week and keep it up and maybe you won't be shocked like I was!!

definitely!!! i'm also 28 and i looked at photos the other day of when i was 18 and felt it quite depressing. i was 2 dress sizes smaller and was taut and toned. now have a spare tyre that just won't shift and everything seems to wobble abit when i move. also have had a baby and now have stretch marks. sometimes wish i had the money for surgery.

Well, as my mom says, beats the alternative. But yes, our bodies do frightening things as we age.

After a life-threatening illness (the big C) at the ripe old age of 45, I am just glad to have a semi-healthy, not always - but often - exhausted, and walking (which they said I'd never do) body.

Everything's relative.

Sure...that is why you go to the gym and work out. If you think your body is going to stay toned without doing anything you are sorely mistaken.

As people age it's normal for their metabolism to slow down, thus they must eat much healthier and exercise even more, simply put it's much harder to maintain better health the older one gets.

Slack and slouch. And it seems like I just can't tone and firm it all up

Well, scientists have also confirmed this. Our bodies become "saggy"; with less dynammic energy.
