Why is wrong to be wealthy but ok if you are a celebrity?

I see liberals referring to people from middle class to wealthy as greedy but defending the extremely wealthy celebrities. Aren't celebrities worse? With several hundred million dollar homes, vacation homes in the tropics, private jets, limosines, and servants, shouldn't they be the onse considered greedy?

i would say celebrity are worst because they are stuck up with all their money most of them do not even use their money for a good cause.

Liberals have more power over people, more government, when they give handouts to them. They can give more handouts to people when they tax hard working people more. They make hard working middle class people out to be rich and greedy, to justify taxing them. They rely on people not realizing this, so those getting the handouts will keep voting for them. Never, ever should we punish people by taxing them more, because they work harder and make more money. Tax people the same percentage, not the middle class and rich, more. Those middle class people don't mind paying taxes, by percentage, by why should they pay a bigger percentage than another? Some, not all, celebrities are worse, I agree. Wealthy, outspoken celebrities, are also being used, by the way, by the liberal politicians and media. If someone has rightfully gained wealth, from being a star, or a ceo, doesn't matter, then let them have it. It is part of the American dream. Don't punish them, and reward laziness.

Wealth is not bad. Most of the great things that happen in the world are done by wealthy people. Think of Bill Gates halping all those poor people he visited in Africa. Also wealthy people are constantly distributing their money paying for workers and housecleaners and buying things so the money is going everywhere. Once celebs have the material item they bought with money there money can be used soemwhere else in the world but they still have that value made of material items.

There is nothing wrong with being wealthy if you work hard and save your money and invest wisely. Or movie stars or celbrities are honest about how they got the money. Nothing wrong with that. Most are pretty generous.
But greedy politicians who get the money from lies, extortion and television Evalgelists who say they help the poor and are fabously wealthy and do nothing to help anyone but there self.
So greed is how you get the money more than how you spend it.

Well personally, my socialist soul hates celebrities. I don't think the middle-class is necessarily greedy, it's the rich who are greedy.

Greed lies in your heart, not your bank account. Greed strikes the rich AND the poor. I've known greedier poor ppl and generous wealthier ppl.

I have many liberal views, but nothing bugs me more than a fellow liberal who will idolize celebrities while bitching about the middle class.

Not all of us are like that though... just the loud mouth ones. ;)

no one said it was wrong to be wealthy. it depends on your attitude with what you have. you could be very rich or dirt poor, but if youre rude and stingy with what you have, then it doesnt do anyone any good. and THAT would be wrong.
