Our neighborhood has lots of dogs, but there is this one dog next door and his owners let him out to roam on our lawn and woods. But he always leaves large poop on the lawn. Our neighbors are our best friends... help??

If they are your friends, talk to them about it. Tell them to clean up after their dog. If they are good neighbors and good friends, they will do what is right. Hopefully you KNOW it is their dog that is doing this. Just because it is a large poop, does not mean it is from that dog. You said you have lots of dogs in your neighborhood.
I have a small dog, and one would not believe how large her poops are!! Great Dane size!!! But no matter how big or little, I always clean up after my dogs..and have even cleaned up after other dogs if I have an extra baggie with me!! Lawnmowers and dog poop just don't mix!!!

Talk to them.

and if they wont help, pick up the poop and leave it on their front steps. Good neighbors and good dog owners would NOT allow their dog to roam freely. PERIOD.

ask your neighbors not to let it do that.
