Isn't it illegal to tattoo a minor even with parents consent?

how old are you? every state has different rules. most times you have to be 16 with a parent's consent and if that is the states law then any parlor will be happy to do the tattoo. be sure you know what you want. i got my first tattoo when i was 18. i should have thought it out better. i love all of my tattoos but just be for sure for sure.

It depends on the state law. In California, even if you have the parental consent *and* the parent even accompanies you to the shop, you cannot get a tattoo...period.
If the shop wants to stay out of trouble with the law, they'll not challenge it...it's just ethical business...and they don't want to be fined or put out of business.

As for MN law, the same laws apply to all shops statewide, so any shop you ask will be able to at least quote the law correctly whether or not they'd be willing to actually do the work. Knowing this law is part of the requirements of getting their license, so don't take "I don't know" for an answer...do not go to those places.
