Why would a Muslim want to immigrate to the USA? Because we have a lot of resources that they come here and take advantage of, like any other group of immigrants.
Yeah there's intolerance and hateful people, but it's worth the effort to come and stay.

Better opportunities, escaping the oppressive governments in their home countries, things like that. Many people in America are hateful and intolerant, especially of Muslims, but there are communities with high populations of Muslims where a Muslim immigrant would be welcome.

Not true. Most people don't care.

Those I talk to who immigrate here -- legally I might add, unlike some cultures who don't do it legally -- do so because if you're not born rich and powerful you can potentially become rich and powerful in the U.S. without using a gun.

There is also total religious freedom. There are no hard core thugs telling you to totally cover yourself or not drive a car if you're a woman or not talk on a cell phone. You can live life your way, so long as you are peaceful and pray as you like.

My husband emigrated from Saudi (he is originally from Yemen). He is now an American citizen. It was extremely difficult for him to come to the States. He came because he loves it here. He loves our form of government. Yes we have our flaws, but overall, it's still the best in the world. He loves the people here. Yes there are a few who are bigoted and mean spirited, even evil. But the majority of the people we have met (and we've traveled a lot around the States) are wonderful, loving, giving people. He loves the beauty of the United States and the diversity of our landscapes. We have everything from snow capped mountains to tropical paradises and everything in between. He loves the freedoms and opportunities of our country. He loves the fact that if you are willing to work hard, you can get ahead here. But mostly, I think he loves me and our children.

Freedom to convert without beheading?

no seriously we are not all hateful and intolerant. Perhaps they wish to simply have a chance for a better life away from religious persecution. Yes some of them are persecuted for their beliefs, even if they are muslim. Perhaps they wish to have opportunities for business and such.

Nothing like that........ it is a comparatively good country, good people and good surroundings.

US attracts many people because of its high economy and also there is also many good aspects about that country which makes people migrate there. BESIDES THAT IT IS A VERY GOOD COUNTRY FOR JOB.

Because deep down, people want what the USA has to offer. We have a great country, and they have an awful one.
