I am "healthy," 24 years old, and without health insurance...

I am tryin to figure out waht has been up with me.

EVERY day for about a month now I get a pretty annoying headache... around where my neck meets my hair line... the pain is mostly on the bottom of my head and my neck.

In addition to this (and this is what scares me most) I am lightheaded and borderline "dizzy" most of the day as well. It seems the only time I have relief I am asleep. Its almost as if my equilibrium is off. It appears to be particularly noticable when I'm driving, when my eyes are closed, or at night.

I have no idea what this is... I am going to an eye doctor Monday to see if maybe my RX is outdated... I am seeing a Chiro today... friends say maybe a sinus infection could do this... but I'm usually only stuffy when I wake up, and its been over 30 days.
I am not going to go to a DR. unless I absolutely have to; if that happens I'll get insurance first... so they can cover MRI etc. Thoughts?

My husband had an ear infection that made him suffer these symptoms. It took a month for it to go completely away but the prescriptions the doc gave him took care of the dizzy spells and headaches quite quickly

My only thoughts are get insurance before you go to the eye doctor not that it would cover that, but if he thinks it may be something else, it will be "pre-existing" (just in case it is serious)and I really don't think your Rx outdated would cause dizziness for this amt of time

Headache is a pain in the head, scalp or neck. Headaches can be
caused by minor problems like eyestrain, lack of coffee or more
serious reasons like head injury, brain tumors, encephalitis and
meningitis. Taking painkillers continuously can have harmful side
effects, so it is better to modify your lifestyle. More information

My guess would be high stress or development of migraines.
I'd suggest watching closely what you eat, slowing down on bad habits (smoking, drinking, etc. if any), getting some rest including full 8 hours of sleep.
Do you take any medicine that would cause such symptoms as a side effect? (allergy medication, etc)
From personal experience being a carrier of severe migraines, I can relate to some of those symptoms you've described, where they can last for weeks.
I hope you feel better soon!

It could be a pinced nerve in your neck. When you go to the chiropractor today ask them about massage therapy. It can do wonders.

In my experience I think your cholesterol is not good. You should avoid salty, sugar, white, dairy food instead eat more oatmeal, granola bar, vegetable and fruits. I have a bad cholesterol and I know how you feel. Banana if u need potassium.

Sounds like a possible inner ear infection. I would see your doctor about it.

Or it could be vertigo.
