yeah but good job...most people can't/won't do that...and they wonder how they got stuck with the job they have.

I went to school until I was 16, in 9th grade, dropped out, got my G.E.D. at 20 yrs, and now am in college with about 1.5 years to go until i finish my bachelors. I'm 25 now.

cute avatar btw

Well, I'm 27 and still in education now that I am a teacher! When you think of it like that, that's a lot of years and being educated and educating others - 23 years in fact. I feel old! Perhaps it feels longer because I never took a year out or anything in between, so I have been solidly in school or univeristy from the ages of 4 to 27. That's a long time!

like yourself, i have been studying since leaving school at 16 with no qualifications and since then, education-wise it has been a journey of ups downs, between them all, i was depressed from the age of 17 up until 18, did loads of courses and didn't make actual progress nor found my feet until i was 21 when i pursued an Access course. when i completed it, i applied to go to university- only to feel dissatisfied with my course and transferred to another uni to do a different course, alas i now feel happy and settled. i am in my final year, and i alas cannot wait for my course to finish and to graduate next year at 26.

i know how you feel, but you have like a couple of months left and then it'll be over. you have to stick with it and keep going. when you said you are getting tired of studying, are you actually saying you don't want to study anymore? if that is the case, then you might as well, take a breather from it for a year, go on a gap year trip or take a year off studying just so to help rejuvinate and replenish your enthusiasm and energy for learning the following year. you need to decide what you want to do. if you are clearly unhappy, then its best if you quit while you're ahead and do something of interest to you.

I did two degrees and then one postgraduate course. It was fine when i was studying an area that i enjoyed or a topic that interested me, but sometimes i never wanted to see another book or assignment in my life again! I got through it by having a laugh with friends, working at odd times- late at night and just tried to write something.

You must give yourself a break and don't feel guilty when you do, or you will spoil your free time away from study. Persevere if you can, but if you do drop out or give up- it is not the end of the world! There is more to life then studying.

Darling, time out... try studying life for a while, i do believe education is very important, you need to live a little let your hair down. Get out with you'r mates for a night. then when you go back to your studies it wont be such a chore as you will have other things to think about, Good luck, enjoy lifexx

Yes I finished at 21 (Uni), but am always refering back to what I learnt then, when you hit the real life its amazing how many gaps in your knowledge of theory etc that you then realise you have. I think I will have to be doing this my whole life, but luckily I love doing it.

Lenin... to learn, to learn, to learn. Reality is we should all be learning something everyday. I took my Masters degree in my 30's... and I'm still learning twenty years later, sometimes formally, but mostly informally via literature, news etc.

Prior to my MSc ... I had been through School from four years of age, college and uni. I know it gets to you.. it did me. But in later life, you will be pleased you persevered.
