I met a guy and we've been talking for a month. He's really wonderful and dedicated. A week ago he told me that he's a co owner of a local casino, and he's been buying me expensive things ever since then. He also gives me money just for me to spend.
My problem is, my family is not very rich. We live on a Wal-Mart Associate's income and there is 7 people in the house. I dont know all the technicalities, but I know that my parents are worrying about how to pay the car bills, house bills, and etc. They dont want me to work because it's my senior year and I'm taking 4 advanced classes.
I really want to help my parents because I dont need all this money for myself. They dont know about my boyfriend, but I want to tell them after I turn 18 in 3 weeks. When is a good time to tell them, and how could I go about it? My boyfriend makes more money in two weeks than they do in three years. I REALLY want to help my family... shopping isnt as important to me as they are.
Please help?

YOU DON"T tell them.. Someones financial situation is no one else's business. His money should not be a factor in ANYTHING!
He should have manners, morals and will treat you well, that is all that matters !!!

Well for one if your wearing everything thing he buys you they should already know. But they will just probably don't want you to worry about them. SOme parents are too proud to except money from their children, even if they need it. HEy your 18 and when your bf gives you money go home all excitted and tell them you won some money on a lottery ticket you bought. ALos whenever you want to tell them about your bf tell them. ALso you mihgt do them a quiet favor when you get money go get a bill or 2 and pay them and don't say nothing. But try to help them silently first then tell them . But also tell your bf that instead of buying you expensive things tell him if he could everynow and then give you a gift card and give them to your parents as a gift and they will like it.

If you REALLY want to help your family, get a job or a loan. If they don't want you to work, then its still your decision. If you still don't want to, you turn 18 in a few weeks and can always wait and get a job then.
It's not fair to fool your boyfriend who's being so kind, so you should be upfront now about your situation with your family. He will appreciate your honesty and maybe love you more. If he's fine with supporting you and all 7 of your family members, then everything should be even better for you.

Do not take money/gifts from this boyfriend....what does he want? Be very careful sweetie, you are still in school, not 18 yet....word of advice.....the men will come and go....an education will do more to help your family than any kind of temporary help from someone you don't know so well....give the "gifts" back...keep your eyes open/ guard your heart...good luck

It is very nice of you to want to help your family....but how old is this guy who owns a casino? You are going to be 18, I have have a feeling he way older, also if you ask him to help your family, he might expect something in return, or think you are using him.

if your bf owns a casino, he should make more oney in a day then they make in ten years, you are a liar, and immature!
why immature, because a real woman tells who she is dating, and doesnt throw in buy the way.......... he is rich, you clearly do not see him for who he is and hopefully he'll see that sooner then later.
my husband is my best friend, he makes me laugh and holds me when i cry, and we love every minute togehter, (and he did some work for b. republic, does that matter, do you think when I had my children I wanted them to be cute like him, or helathy ?) grow up1

Well, I wouldnt make your boyfriend pay for your family unless he wants to.In that case tell them after the party(if you have one). But if he doesnt then just mention him but not anything about his wealthyness. If they do find out theyll understand.
