I can see where the confusion arises. Now knowing the Mark is part of the four gospels, we can always go to another gospel for a better rendition of a scripture text. In this case we will go to Matthew 24:36,
"But of that day [speaking of Christ’s return in power and great glory] and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven BUT my Father only.”
You will notice when comparing the two scriptures (Mark 13:32 & Matthew 24:36) that the phrase “nor the son” is left out in Matthew. Now, in Matthew it reads that only the Father knows the time of his coming; but not man or angels. Something that is essential to know is, although Christ was the Son of God, he was nevertheless a man. Recall that he was born of Mary (who was a mortal). Joseph was not Christ’s blood father; instead he was Christ’s stepfather. (See Matthew 1:18-19) Because of this truth he was half mortal half God. Because his mom was mortal and his real father was a God. That is the reason that he would not know of his own coming. He was still going through mortality. Yet once ye acquired the right hand of God was he no longer a man but a God like his Father. (See Acts 7:55-56) I hope this helps in clarifying the confusion.

Well first off, as a Christian just let me say that there is no place in the bible that mentions the "trinity" as it has been called. It is my belief that it was inferred due to the Lord's prayer. In any case the question at hand is whether or not Jesus is God.

Think of it this way: Your father is James Mason. Your brother is James Mason Jr. They look identical and have all the same characteristics but one has more authority. Obviously The father has authority over the son. Jr. is the same as his father in every way other than the fact that his father created him.... the only difference is that in the case of God and Jesus no one created God. Don't ask me to explain that. The human mind can not comprehend something that has no beginning or end.

Hope this helps.

God can do whatever he wishes, no? God has chosen that only he knows of the time of this particular event, at least up to that point in time. (In other words, now, Jesus may know, etc). I don't think this in any way negates that he was who he said he was, and proved it by his actions. The trinity, is three separate entities, but one at the same time. The Father, or head of the trinity, can frankly do whatever he wants, and usually has good reason. We are humans, and he is God, and he doesn't expect us to understand it all. Some people hate this fact, and use it as their reason for rejecting God, or religion. To each his own. I have found the bible and Jesus to be believable, and I don't have to understand every single part to do that. That is the case with many things in life, and we all do that. I am just thankful for the right to choose, to have free will. If there is a god, he could have made it otherwise.

This is a common problem. It's called cafeteria bible reading- take what you want and leave the rest.

In Philippians 2:6-8 We see that Jesus did this to himself

6 Who being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: 7 But emptied himself, taking the form of a servant, being made in the likeness of men, and in habit found as a man. 8 He humbled himself, becoming obedient unto death, even to the death of the cross.

Jesus became a human. This would be like you becoming a bug. Even though you knew of humanity, you're a bug!

The Bible is meant to taken as a whole. For instance, here are some other verses that say Jesus is in fact God.

John 1:1 In the beginning was the word (Jesus) and the word was with God, and the word WAS God.

If you get into the actually study of how the trinity exists, this passage will really make sense.

John 20:28 (Thomas falling at Jesus' feet) My Lord and My God!

"Behold, I am coming soon, bringing my recompense, to repay every one for what he has done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the beginning and the end"
(Rev. 22:12–13).

Some people get thrown off by the whole "Son of Man" bit, but if you study it a little more, you'll see that it's a reference to the book of Daniel 7

13 I beheld therefore in the vision of the night, and lo, one like the son of man came with the clouds of heaven, and he came even to the Ancient of days: and they presented him before him.
14 And he gave him power, and glory, and a kingdom: and all peoples, tribes and tongues shall serve him: his power is an everlasting power that shall not be taken away: and his kingdom that shall not be destroyed.

Sounds a lot like God to me.

The Gnostics did the exact opposite of what you did by saying Jesus wasn't, in fact Man. They came to the opposite conclusion!
I realize that there are instances that point out that Jesus was a man. But take them all together and we come up with the doctrine of true man and true God.

But the Bible aside, why would anybody live the way the early Christians did on purpose unless there was something there?

Ignatius, a bishop of Antioch and disciple of Paul wrote on his way to be eaten by lions-
"Ignatius, also called Theophorus, to the Church at Ephesus in Asia . . . predestined from eternity for a glory that is lasting and unchanging, united and chosen through true suffering by the will of the Father in Jesus Christ our God" (Letter to the Ephesians 1 [A.D. 110]).

Our GOD. And this was written less than 100 years after Jesus died. If you were caught, you DIED. Peter was crucified upside down. A lot of Christians were soaked in tar and set ablaze to light Nero's Track at Night. And these people knew it. There would have to be a pretty compelling reason to believe.

Many things were left open only for the Father to know. This made Jesus dependant on the Father. Even though by nature he was fully GOD, the Father chose not to reveal all to Jesus. I believe because Jesus is at the right hand of the Father He nows realizes everything.

Jesus was speaking from the humanity/flesh side.

In John 10:30 Jesus said I and my father are one. In John 14:7 Jesus says If you have know me, then you have known the father. In acts 2:38 it says to repent, be baptized everyone of you in the name of jesus christ for the remission of sins...Matthew 28:19 says to baptize in the name of the father, son, and holy ghost. What is the name? Jesus.

I am a Father, son, and an electrician but my name is John. God is the father, son, and Holy Ghost and his name is Jesus.

Jesus was God incarnate, God in the flesh. He showed emotions, ate slept just like we did. We can't see God because God is a spirit, but we can see Jesus.

Jesus was in the garden of gethsemane crying out to let this cup pass from him, but nevertheless God's will be done. That was the flesh crying to the spirit. It's all part of God's plan for salvation.

Boy I love seeing peoples speculations :)

Jehovah is God Almighty, Jesus is his first creation.
Colossians 1:15"He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation"

And believing that Jesus lost his knowledge as "God" or the "father" is speculation, it can't be biblicly proven, it's a dogma.Rather the Bible proves through itself that Jesus is the son of God Almighty Yahweh, or YHWH, or JEHOVAH

This is a proof that Jesus (pbuh) is a messenger of GOD.

[67:23] Say, "He is the One who initiated you, and granted you the hearing, the eyes, and the brains. Rarely are you appreciative."

[67:24] Say, "He is the One who placed you on earth, and before Him you will be summoned."

[67:25] They challenge: "When will that prophecy come to pass, if you are truthful?"

[67:26] Say, "Such knowledge is with GOD; I am no more than a manifest warner."

[67:27] When they see it happening, the faces of those who disbelieved will turn miserable, and it will be proclaimed: "This is what you used to mock."

Did Jesus or his Apostles follow a religion called Christianity? Who were the first 'Christians' ? Who founded Christianity and do the teachings of Christianity conform to the teachings of Jesus?

The teachings of Paul, the true founder of Christianity, cannot be found anywhere in the teachings of Jesus or in those of prophets before him.

He's the Son of God. Not God. You're exactly right about that scripture and that's why Jesus doesn't know the exact hour.

That was true WHILE Jesus was here on earth in the flesh. Once He was reunited with His Father in Heaven, all knowledge was once again His. The human mind can hold a lot, but not everything. And that information was/is classified.
