In my country evil people don't have to touch u to kill u. If you have more $ than them they hate u, they send zombies on you to kill u. They put powder on ur path, at ur house, in ur farm that if u walk over it, you'll die by a terrible fever. I don't blame Americans if they don't believe coz it's not common here but I lived it and if I weren't a believer I would be dead by now.
Couldn't God just give him just a little power? But I think satan has way too much power to destroy unbelievers. I'm glad that he can't touch me.

God did not give satan power. People relinquish their power to satan out of their foolishness. Jesus died so that we could regain it, but many are still too foolish to accept that wonderful gift. At the risk of sounding like a chat, Don H. is wrong, Christians do not consider satan an adversary of God, but of man.

In the cosmic system the sum total of all at any given point of time must always remain zero. If we have God at plus hundred... we also have Satan at minus hundred. The senses and the mind are under the control of Satan all the time. It is the prayers addressed to God which pave way towards pure spirituality.

Wow what a concept. Instead of the Devil God should have used Zombies. Hey why not Vampires and Werewolves too that would have been good. Are you protected from the devil by the zombies?

It's a test for all of us. It's goes way back to the beginning of the Bible with Adam & Eve eating the forbidden fruit in the garden. Eve listened to Satin and did what he wanted her to. We can all take that power away from Satin by not listening to him and his evil ways. I highly suggest reading the Bible ... it's the most interesting book ever. Our whole lives revolve from this book. It will make everyone a better person.

In ancient Jewish tradition Satan is simply an angel doing the work that God assigned to Satan to do.
The word Satan means challenger. With the idea of Satan challenging us, or tempting if you will. This description sees Satan as the angel who is the embodiment of man's challenges. This idea of Satan works closely with God as an integral part of Gods plan for us. His job is to make choosing good over evil enough of a challenge so that it becomes clear to us that there can be only one meaningful or logical choice.
Contrast this to Christianity, which sees Satan as God's opponent. In Jewish thought, the idea that there exists anything capable of setting itself up as God's opponent would be considered polytheistic or setting up the devil to be an equally powerful polarity to god or a demigod.
Oddly, proof for The Christian satan/devil mythology is supposedly found in the ancient Jewish texts that were borrowed to create the bible. One can’t help but wonder how Christians came up with such a fantastically different interpretation of Gods assistant Satan in their theology.
Other hints about Satan’s role in human relations can be seen if you look at the name Lucifer. It’s meaning in the original tongue translates as Light bearer or light bringer. Essentially the bringer of enlightenment. The temptations of the Satan idea bring all of us eventually into Gods light. Hardly the Evil entity of Christian mythology.

he has no more power than any other Angel, but of course all the Angelic hosts are way above us in intelligence and ability and this would make satan seem more powerful to us than he really is.
Because he has rebelled against God he is not as powerful as our own Guardian Angels because they are with God.
