Sure! why not? i mean theres no such rule that says, "It is not legal for old people to make friends with young people." or "It is an offence for old people to make friends with young people." LOL that'll be real funny. Go ahead and make friends, it won't hurt

Heck yes if the younger people can stand us old fogies. I have probably just as many young friends as I have friends my age. I'm 52 and I have friends as young as 23. When I go out for a drink I like to go where the people are younger because they are happy and having fun. So many people my age are worn out but that might just be the older crowd I know. I'm seeing so many people from my generation now that just refuses to grow old. Between making healthier choices to plastic surgery my generation is fighting old man time with voracity.

Yes they certainly can as long as they do not try to force their knowledge upon you. If they give advice when asked only and try to enjoy some of the things that younger people do then it should be ok. But friendship is a two way thing, so the younger person would have to try to find something in comman with the older person too

Depends on the age difference. I have some friends slightly younger than me, but anything more than 5 years I can't help but look at them like they are kids. And I'm 35 so that's anyone 29 and younger are children to me and I try to keep my distance.

Well to be just firneds it can be anyone in life. But some young people are friends with older people because they have lots more experience in life and they can go to them for advice. And some can even get to be better people because of it. SO if you know an older person get to know then abd be friends and now and then ask for some asvice and you'll be surprised of how much information they can supply to you.

younger as in a few years but I don't think that it is ok for an older person to be friends with a minor.

I'm a 24 year old female and one of my good friends is a male who's oer 35 (though I always forget exactly how old he is, might be 35 or 36). We don't hang out often anymore because of conflicting work schedules but we still talk and get together when we can.

Generally speaking, yes. However depending on the ages, if the "younger people" are minors, there could be some impropriety or fear of it...
But yeah, especially adults...young adults can be good friends with middle aged or senior folks...

Yes I have had many friends over the years that are ten or more years older then me. It's good to have older friends they tend to have more knowledge to share with you.

Definitely, my closest friends are around half my age. It seems easier to have a real friendship with the younger generation becasue they are more open.
