Muhammad didn't need to justify it like we don't need to justify driving cars today. When you live in a time where something is completely normal and no one can find any reason to place blame on it, you don't need to justify it. Just go ask your grandparents what age they were when they were married, and what age your great grandparents were when they were married. Chances are they were younger than you are right now. Do they have to justify that? Or was it simply the way things were done?

The Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) had 12 wives in total (correct me is i am wrong) and he only had 4 at one time. Muslim are allowed to have 4 wives if they are capable to. Most of the Prophets (pbuh) wifes were widows so he married them to support them, he treated them all equally.

He married Aisha when she was 8 however this wasnt complete until she was older. Meaning He did marry her at a young age but the marriage was only valid years later.

Its not really necessary to marry a girl who is very young because the situation then is well different to now.

No there is no need to "justify" that. If you knew the whole detail you would know that it was a purely political alliance. And the age of the girl is not relevant. The customs of those times didn't specify the "age" for any one. There have been earlier "prophets" and leaders that have done the same. You would know if you had done some research.
