Well to start with you were first friends when you started this relationship . As time went by you fell in love . More time goes by and if you really love this person the friend relationship gets stronger . The person you really love is your best friend . So if you really love this person your the best thing for each other and your not only in love but a friend . So as time goes on both of these feelings of love and friendship merge and if your lucky it will last a life time and you will grow old together . If you have a love like this you are lucky indeed .

it is both and deeper than just what you have stated. That first heated rush of new love does not last, it cannot but something deeper, and far more precious does develope. You are friends, best friends that still share and abiding love and at time you do get the first rush of love all over again, if you work for it and are lucky. the other person becomes a part of you in a way you cannot understand until it happens to you. I hope that it does someday because that is so much better than the first bloom on the rose.

well that obviously depends on how you really feel about the person. I am personally still madly in love with my ex, But we're just friends now. After all this time of knowing her My feelings of love have just become stronger. But my past relationships were not the same because I didn't love them in that way. Lust and a good friendship can be confused as love sometimes. But infatuation fades. Love just keeps getting stronger and stronger.

If i am with a guy dating for a long time i think i would still love them. But if i like him for a while and we didn't go out i would just decided we are gonna be really good friends and i would be happy with that.

its a hard one. sometimes you need to change things. always try to do something different to keep each other interested. surprise each other to remind yourselves y you fell in love in the first place.
at the minute my fiancee and i are on a break cos we arent happy its hard being seperated at all for me very hard!
but hopefully in the long run things will work out!
