it would all depend man. Every woman is different some will break your heart, and do stupid stuff, because chicks are eff'd that way. Find a girl you care about, and just trust her from the start, try to forget what happened. I know I cant relate, but its all i can think about... your not going to get anywhere worring about the past.. have to live in the now, and think about the future.. the past is behind us cant be changed... as rafiki (the baboon) says in the lion king "It does not matter its in the past".. i dont know if this helps at all. But thats what i can think of.,.
just try to forget about it.. its the past... bad things are going to happen.. you just have to cope and move on.. in order to be happy in the future.

I have had a few problems in the past, including something like yours. I have two daughters, one biologically mine and the other I found out was not mine after five years of marriage, but I raised them both and I love them both. After 10 years of marriage, I got divorced, and I am proud to tell you one thing, I got full sole custody of both of them, and we have been living together for the last 5 years and doing great. Now for your ?, I would never judge a woman by my past failures, they have every right to be trusted and treated fairly from lthe very beginning. Of course in the back of my mind I might wonder, but I have to trust, because I would want to be trusted from the very beginning. Every person is different, and needs to be treated as such.

I can't speak for other women, but for the average man, eternity might be just the right length of time to trust a woman again completely.

i would still trust women, just not that particular one!
but the other real question... it would probably be very crushing and it would take years before i'd be emotionally over it and be ready to start dating another woman again..

that is a nightmarish situation alright. have you been personally affected by this?
id say a lot of reassurance would be needed. but the right amount of love and trust building would work wonders!

Honestly, probably never. You should never lie to a man about that. Never let a man develope a relationship with a kid, as a father, and then he finds out it's not his. This oculd be devastating.

depends on how much trust was in this 7yr relationship in the beginning, and how much you can say and show how much you truely love them..nobody is perfect, nobody can love unconditionally either..
