I'd say that's enough since it's going to be given away.
Just wrap everything separately so it looks like more on Christmas morning. All the parts of the outfits separate, whatever came separate with the Barbie horse thing, etc. Some separate EZ Bake mixes.
That should be more than enough to satisfy her desire to open presents.

well there are sevral things as to 'HOW MANY IR THE RIGHT AMOUNT', i.e im assuming only child, if its not iwouild recommend an equal amount, AND SIZE of presents, for some reason children do not understand alot of goodthings come in small packages, they like BIG. cvhildren are knwon to become easily bored, so i would try something that can evovle with your child, such as a leapfrog electronics learning thing, as they get boared u can get new expansions that they can use and its a learning tool. also, are u giving her presents infront of other people? whats her temper like. a thousand things go into what and how to control your little girl come christmas day when the unwrapping begins.
here what i do though. i buy a CRAP load of stuff, really overdoit, but i also include alot of random little stuff, they seem to think alot is good, so buy little things like markers and coloring books, and stuff too. then wrap em all up and give them half, if later on in the day when companys over and u are exchanging gifts i would give her a fwe more, and then as shes good through the year i would give her some here and there. so u can nebver buy too much, i would jsut put some away for a rainy day though.
hope this helps at all!

I say that's more than enough. Honestly, you don't want to spoil her, yet you do. You'll be doomed later in life if you continue the spoiling, she'll think she can get anything she wants. And there will come a time she doesn't get what she wants, and she will throw a huge fit to get her way... I was just watching a show on Oprah how this lady just kept spoiling her child, and her daughter was 21 with a baby herself, expecting her Mom to keep paying her house bills for her and buying her whatever she needed.
We all like our children to have what they need- there's no problem with that, but when it comes to stuff, you can never have enough stuff. But the main thing we need in life is love not the stuff. If your daughter is very loved, she doesn't need everything, only you.
So stick with what you have. It all sounds very nice, and I'm sure she'll be happy with it, if not, you've already set up the spoiling to a point you need to control it. Teach her the values of life.

One from Mommy, one from Daddy & one from Santa! So, you're already over your limit! Stop now! Unless you want to add a book on something she might be interested in reading or a cool kids magazine as a stocking stuffer.
Why not make it more of an event day than a gift day and plan on making treats in the EZ bake oven with her & building a christmas bear to celebrate the holiday! In other words, make it about being together for Christmas and not just giving gifts.

Instead of buying her toys, buy her clothes that will last a long time, and not get thrown away without use. I think that what you have is sufficient for a tight budget this year. Wait until next year to spoil her, but throughout the year dont spoil her as much and on christmas morning she will have tons of presents to open

For a five year old this sounds more than enough. If your wanting her "to have alot of gifts to open" on christmas day. Kids usually see quantity not quality. Or if you know your really not going to ba able to resist buying her more, why dont you get her some small things and wrap them individually like books, crayons, glitters & glues, coloured papers, pencil case, colouring books, small jigsaws, these are all also gifts that will get her being a bit more creative and all kids love colouring. Good Luck ! hope you have a great christmas!

That's plenty. Just fill her stocking up with some little stuff and she'll be thrilled.
Our kids get a new book and a new pair of PJ's on Christmas Eve from mom and dad. We put on the new PJ's and read the new books before bed.
On Christmas morning they get 3-5 gifts (all toys) under the tree and their stockings are filled with little stuff. (Hair prettys, lip gloss, stickers, ornaments, candy, trading cards, toothbrush, toothpaste, brush and comb, marbles, craft supplies, etc.)

Give her only 2 nice gifts, and next year only buy toys for her on her birthday and Christmas. When she gets so many things, why should she appreciate any of them? If a child who never gets toys or gifts should happen to receive one they usually cherish it. As you have said, you have spoiled her. May I suggest a trick that my sister used with her children. Divide her toys in half, and box up half of them and put them away. Every six months, trade out the play toys with the boxed toys. She will learn to appreciate her toys and whenever they are traded, she will have a toy she has been missing to play with.

that is enough. If she doesn't normally open all her presents maybe you should re wrap some of them. Spoiling a child does not mean they will have a better Christmas. Take her to church and show her the real meaning of Christmas

Sounds like plenty to me. I get my 3 boys one great present each and then 3 or 4 smaller ones. Like last year the 2 older ones each got a game boy and a game with it and then the other gifts...( action figures, cars, whatever....)
