She has long nails , so I picked her up 4 bottles of nail polish.

No, not if you've only dated her once. Wait until you've gone out several more times before you get gifts, and stay away from cosmetics because people are very picky about them most of the time. If you're really itching to give it to her, and you have a sister, just give it to her and say your sister didn't want it anymore and gave it to you to give to her when you mentioned that she has long nails. Or, MAYBE you could give it as a small Christmas present if you two are still going out by then and you're both very poor (although it would be rather tacky). Instead of buying nail polish, you should think about buying food when you two go out. Good luck!

Not just the nail polish. It's cool and all and it's the sentiment that counts but get something else as well. Try this.....tie thin ribbon around the handle of the nail polish and string them around the neck of a stuffed animal or something. Or get her a gift certificate to a nice nail stylist in town to go with the polish.

Yeah that sounds ok. But in general when buying little pressies for girls id steer clear of stuff that are really specific to women like cosmetics or clothes especially if you only know her a short time. Go for more mainstream stuff. Listen to what she says. ask her what her favorite biscuits are or something and then when you go see her bring her a pack. Its a small thing but it'll mean a lot. Just show her you care

Honestly dude, I think that is kind of gay. If you are trying to get with her, the last thing you should do is get her a bottle of nail polish. Don't get her anything, just take her out and pay for every possible expense, until it gets serious. Then get her a real present.

Well.......It's okay, if you wrap it up in pretty paper and ribbons. I know that's not a "guy thing" but it would really mean more to her. She'll be impressed that you noticed something so small as her nails. ;-)

Women go to great lengths to be noticed on their dates. Once she receives the nail polish you'll see she will be so tickled that you appreciated her hard work on her nails thru that gesture. Go for it.

That . . . . . . would be a very akward moment. Unless you acted as if you were being modest, like "I didn't know what to get you but I like your nails so. . . . . . ." and you tried to be sweet wit it. She might think its cute or somethin like that.
