Well, I, my wife and daughter are vegetarians so we'll be having something else.
It'll probably be a quorn roast for two reasons (apart from the fact it's veggie!). Firstly, it is a bit like turkey, so is in keeping with what we used to eat 'pre-veggie'.
But most importantly, my mother in law is cooking it for us as well as turkey and it seems mean to make her go to enormous extra effort on our behalf.
After all, it's the get-together that's most important. The food is secondary to the company.
Anyway, thank you for asking and have a great Christmas whatever you all end up eating!!!

I will not be having turkey for Thanksgiving. I have to work on Christmas, so I know I will have to bring either a sandwich or something I can warm up in a microwave. But, I know it will not be turkey that is going to get warmed up.

We never have turkey... that's only for Thanksgiving at my house. For Christmas we generally have ham... sometimes big as part of a large meal and sometimes sliced down for biscuits to have with a table full of finger foods, sometimes with a selection of soups or stews.
Some years we'll do a big Italian feast with a crockpot full of meatballs, lasagna, garlic pasta, Italian green beans, good bread and olive oil, and a Red Velvet cake for dessert.
Sometimes we do seafood... like last year we did oyster stew, shrimp three ways (cocktail, steamed and spiced, breaded and fried) with hush puppies and cole slaw.
Because of everyone's schedules (large family) we sometimes do our big dinner Christmas Eve and sometimes Christmas Day. We tend to switch it up depending on what we're doing and what time we have to prep for it :)

As I eat chicken all year round I thought I'd try duck for Christmas this year and I hope the birds enjoy a seed cake made with the excess fat.

We're actually thinking of having an Italian themed dinner with lasagna. We might also get a ham.
