You should've been more strict. Now she's a young rebell and it is too late to change anything - she must grow up and then she will understand...If she already calls you stupid - you can just wait till she will change, but...
I'm really sorry..

Well I'm 16 And I Go Out Every Night... But When I Was 14 I Didn't Go Out That Often... Wow She Called You Stupid??? You Shouldn't Let Her Talk To You Like That... I Would Never Talk To My Mom Like That...

If I were you I'd become the parent again and keep your 14 yr old at home at night. It's a dangerous world out there. It sounds like you've given the power over to her. You are the parent...stand up and keep your daughter safe. It sounds like she's asking for boundaries. Every child needs them.

I personally don't think any teen needs to go out EVERY night. I understand hanging out with friends and all, but that is too much. I would also gauge your decision on grades, and how things are at home as far as helping around the house etc..
My parents did not let me out every night, and yes, it made me mad then, but now that I have one teenager, and one pre teen, I know why they weren't so liberal about letting me out all the time. Trust your gut.

its awsome you two don't argue but do you talk to each other maybe this is her way of telling you she wants/needs some boundaries. i personally would not let my kids go out every nite particullary school nites unless its to study and even then i would have a time that they were to be home. its way too dangerous out there to have a 14 yr old roaming the streets.

a 14 year old has no need to be out every night. she is much too young for that much freedom. had my 14 year old called me stupid, she would be home every night. and she's now 22.

sounds like you need to put your foot down, if shes only 14 i would set a curfew of 9pm weekdays and 11pm on weekends.....when turn 16 maybe change it to 10pm weekdays and midnights on weekend....but i would check with local authorities first and check if your town alrealdy has a curfew for minors, because mine does...no minors out after 11pm anyday of the week

NOT. DON'T ALLOW HER. SHE IS YOUR DAUGHTER AND U R THE MOM . SHE HAS TO RESPECT AND OBEY WHAT YOU SAY. IF SHE ACTS LIKE THAT NOW, IMAGINE WHEN SHE WILL BE18
