It was originally called "Yule" you know. It was re-named "christ-mas" to co-incide with the pagan holiday. That's how early christianity worked, like a thief in the night.
But all of the trappings of paganism are still there;
The tree, the yule log (whether it be a real log or a cake) lights and candles, even worshiping a magic sky-pixie, it's all there.
So, how are your preparations coming along?

Sanchez;
leave it to a christian to say that pointing out the truth is a "hateful diatribe".
You moron, do you even know what a diatribe is? Of course not, if you did, you wouldn't have use the word in the first place.

Yeah, same thing with Easter. To quote Bill Hicks, "Here's a chocolate egg, that's about all you can handle spiritually right now."

All us Pagans having a great old time. Solstice coming up, decorating the trees outside with popcorn and grapes for the birds, extra rations of food for hungry dogs, making fudge, waiting for the "sky-pixie". Have a cool Yule.

i know right. I think that's why my dad stopped christmas when i was 8. all holidays and birthdays, no he's not a "witness" he read the bible the best way he could and tuaght us the teachings in it from what he belived. he was right about alot of things, the book is a good teaching tool, but it's all fake. Stories written 1,000 years ago and put together by people trying to control a population into working their whole lives and dieing and having more kids to keep doing the same thing while the people with money live life the way it should be. They don't worship money like the rest of us, they couldn't care less about dropping a $100 bill. Think they get mad about a ticket? lol yeah right, all your problems go away when you have alot of numbers in your bank account. what a crock of SH****T

I think by now, most people realize that the actual date of Christ's birth was not December 25th. And that the Church, in a stroke of brilliance, decided that Dec. 25th was the perfect time to celebrate His birth. Why do I call the Church brilliant? Because as humans, we need to celebrate a season of hope in the midst of the darkest hour on earth. The fact is, most celebrations around the winter solstice involve candles or lights, fire, gift giving; even the evergreens speak of a time when all will be green again. So, they weren't originally Christians symbols, so what? They are symbols that are needed at this time of year, and that Christianity adopted them just shows that the priesthood cared enough about their people to incorporate what was, for the people, comforting symbols. Symbols of hope.

Long ago someone turned the triumphant Lord, into Santa. In Rev. 19, we see the Lords robe dipped in blood, thus, "Santa, wears a blood red suit. The Lords hair is white as wool, "Santas hair is white as wool. Santa see's if you good or bad, knows every thing about you, and can be all over the world at once. Christians can't stop business people from leaping upon any cash cow (golden calf) that comes along.
For your information, I call "Santa, Fat Ba tard, because he is a bas ard. Identity theft is another serious charge I attribute to fat man. Satan can make himself into an angel of light and decieve many. Actually, my parents told me from birth that, " there ain't no santy claus. Do you think christians are brain dead, and can't think for themselves? Go scoff some where else.

Don't forget Easter, valentines day, etc. The celebration and tradition was already surrounding those days, so the Christians absorbed it to make it easier, like a seen from "the blob". What opposition they can't wipe out with mass murder, they assimilate, just as Christianity will one day be replaced. Christians are a pagan knock off.

The only "holiday" going on right now is Advent.
Christmas (short for Christ Mass, the liturgical 12 day feast of the Nativity) isn't for another 23 days.

The traditions were taken but the meaning is different. Christians are celebrating the birth of their savior...not a pagan holiday.
I, however have come along quite nicely with my Yule tree with my pentacle on top. You can keep the magic sky pixie along with the rosary beads.

Doing fine. Nativity scenes are on the rebound in Government places. A.C.L.U. getting thousands of Christimas cards this year. Wal-Mart and Toys for Tots feeling the sting of Christian protest. I'd say we're right on track!
